Artistic Journey

A peaceful forest, a babbling brook, a garden next to the house – all create a special place in my heart and in my art. To draw an image means to recreate the feeling of waking up with an early morning sunrise, or watching a humming bird looking for that perfect flower; the goat in the pasture followed by the chickens…All so synchronized and lovely to observe, connected with invisible lines, which can become visible in the pieces of art. The colors sometimes bright and energetic, sometimes calm and peaceful- all interact or overlap through the different objects, creating the feeling of connectedness and safety of the world around us.

Biography

Loretta was born in 1961, in Klaipeda, Lithuania. Later her parents moved to Kaunas, where Loretta attended J.Naujalis Art School, choosing to be a painter. Throughout her childhood she was surrounded by art, because both of her parents, mother’s brother, and great uncle were artists. Her aunt also became an artist and weaver, after retiring from teaching for many years. All of these wonderful family members inspired Loretta and helped to choose her path in life.

This space is ideal for writing a detailed description of your business and the types of services that you provide. Talk about your team and your areas of expertise.

In 1989, Loretta, her husband, and first daughter immigrated to the USA. After settling down, they had a second daughter. Then in her early thirties she started art studies, first at Macomb Community College in Warren, MI, later transferring to College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI. Loretta had the most inspiring teachers and professors through the years of her studies in Lithuania and United States, to whom all she is very thankful.
